I have a colour Wiseowl pic of the Terry Lay 10b car from 1972-73, at a Wanganui Figure of 8 meeting. Unfortunately photobucket appears to be on the blink, so I'll upload it when I can. While we're on the on the topic of great HB drivers, it would be good if anyone who had results from previous Hawkes Bay and East Coast Stockcar/Superstock Champs could forward them to the Speedway Archive...... Anyway, here it is - Big Apple

One of the great characters at Meeanee is Tony although he seems to have toned down his antics a bit over the last couple of years. Just look at the size of the crowd in the background of the photo. Pity every meeting is not as well attended as that. Imagine what crowds that size could do to the prizemoney available, much less the exposure available to sponsors.

I noticed that the terry lay shots of his car show that he did not run any front radiator hoop bars on the front bumper - rationale?
