3NZ Williams steady as she goes, 2 1sts and a second without looking stunning in any of the races really. Obviously just consistently extremely fast and getting the job done. Top qualifier overall.
2NZ McLymont was good in then first 2, stunning in the last when lapping everybody barring the 2nd and 3rd placegetters. Second qualifier overall. Can he improve his number by one?
3NZ Towgood. His second heat was the stunner, started near the back (in what I felt was the toughest group), hit the front part way through and cleared out to win by over half a lap. 3rd = qualifier overall (with 43H Aaron Tonk, who was superb)
45M Cressy, drove a blinder in the last to still qualify after getting carted into the concrete and retirement in the opening heat. The olony one that can apply the blowtorch to the current 1, 2 and 3??
Are you sure you were racing Murray? You've summed it up that well I'd almost swear you were spectating ;D

Thats what you'd think looking at this.... he's even got a drink in his hand!! I'm not even going to post what I caught him doing once I had the video camera rolling - I'm trying not to move from a G rating ;D ;D ;D More shots from grand parade and out of towners practice here - a bit of a teaser until Yaz gets her race pix up.... s281.photobucket.com/albums/kk234/Huntlyvids/3H07/

Not a good night from ol' 13r, still struggling to shake a dreaded lurgie of some kind, with even the grand parade aching my bones ... But worse was to follow - off grid 5 in race one, not a good start. 69k in grid 3 must have been still finishing his lunch when the flag dropped as he hardly moved, resulting in the car on grid 7 giving me a decent serve in the rear! Once past 69k it became clearly evident I had a severe handling problem, suspecting something broken or a flat tyre. Handling was sooooooooo bad I was a menace (more so than usual) to others so pulled infield (DNF) A pit inspection established NO FRONT SWAY BAR .. the scrutineers fault, they didn't notice my sway bar not being fitted! Race two we stiffened up the right front coil over which largely sorted the handling issue. Race three reduced the stagger and all was fine 'till mid race when my arms felt like they were dropping off and sweating profusely! 15 lap heats for an ol' fart off colour is not a user friendly mix, even with a can of 'GOFAST'. The day started at the airport yesterday morning collecting AV GAS ... a photo opportunity not to be missed We'll head back tonight, fit the sway bar, have a play and watch some awesome saloon racing!

The cream rose to the top last night albeit under some trying and testing track conditions. Hard to see anyone else featuring on the podium other than the current 1NZ, 2NZ or 3NZ. I guess the question is in which order as they were all impressive but in different ways. Tonks for me is the dark horse. Set up will be all important tonite. For me the car that can drive the straightest on the track will win. Looking forward to the repercharge as they always tend to be exciting !

Thanks for the commentary Hydroton.
If I'd known it was going to take so long to get these races going I could have still made it. What's been the hold up?
