Hi apparently there were not enough stock cars interested in running so they are not on the program . Hey Macca we were hoping to get a field of saloons but if we need numbers ,I will let you know . Good luck with your new car I think it was a bargain . Cheers 77k Thanks for that Rossco, let me know either way . I had a run last Sunday at Whangarei's track. I'm really looking foward to the season ahead.

Hey Goslideways thats fantastic news that we will finally get to see the mighty 97P at Kihikihi hopefully it might motivate a few other Stockcars to make the trip from down that end of the Island. Just a reminder that anyone else wanting to race at this meeting they will need to contact their respective section rep. I have added phon numbers to the article on the 2K's website. Ministocks entered so far have been added too. Only 1 month 2 days to go ;D - www.kihikihispeedway.co.nz

The Kuriger built 54P stockcar will also travel up from Palmy to be racing at 2K's mid-winter bash. This Buick powered car is very quick, it may or may not hold the lap record at Bay Park. James Berryman did some deal not involving dodgey Dodges and acquired this, his first stockcar. It'll be driven by it's new owner, or a really good driver, Peter (who has yet to be asked.) all is good. We just gotta get it down from the Scottys attick witrhout dropping it on anything valuable. We got us a convoy! ;D ;D

This meeting has the potential to be an annual highlight. Macca in his new super saloon, possibly Neville Stewart in his new super saloon, although I suspect he's all bluff and bluster, not wanting to be embarressed or taken out by the saloons. To have the team from Palmy, hooncorp, perhaps even Percy, will be a real bonus ... Might have to re-name the day, I say Macgorians Unite, lets hijack the day and make it ... KIHIKIHI AUGUST 16 the MACGORIANS MEETING!

Thats the story Murray, always thinking outside the square.
I could catch a ride with Percy if he is going down, but worry if he can actually see over the dashboard. Last time I saw him driving, he was wearing his little back pack whilst driving. I hope he takes it off for those important times (shower, bed) etc.
Anyhoo, we could have an un-official Macgors racing AGM at the KK winter spectacular? Maybe get old Nellie from Waihi Beach to dazzle the crowd with his legs on the starting duties. Macgors bumper sticker preferred parking perhaps?
As always, the wandering mind, hope to meet some more Macgorians and be amazed at the driving prowess of our very own Grandad amoungst others.
Hooncorp.

Personally I think us MacGorians shouldn't try and take any kudos or good Karma away from the good people at 2K's for running such a timely meeting, rather we should all just support this little club and turn up. They need all the support they can get as they prepare for the greatest show on earth (NZ Superstock Champs) next year. Yeah that, and, "hi-jackers" usually end up getting tasered, shot or peppered sprayed, and I'm getting too old for all that stuff. Just come, support, and race it like ya hi-jacked it.

Personally I think us MacGorians shouldn't try and take any kudos or good Karma away from the good people at 2K's for running such a timely meeting, rather we should all just support this little club and turn up. My thoughts were NOT to detract from the good folks efforts at Kihikihi, BUT TO ADD VALUE, a win / win. Macgorians are a significant collective of speedway enthusiasts and the more reasons you give someone to support a race meeting, the more likely they are to attend. The only message from Kihikihi that I've had is that they have a spare race day opportunity in the kitty and thought they might try and use it. I'm a member and fan at Kihikihi, if we can add value with more competitors, more spectators, more entertainment by encouraging macgorians to attend, why not? The track needs more racing on it to assist in the consolidation of it. I also wondered if Kihikihi are to use it, in part as a fund raider, say for the ambo services provided, over the race season, etc. For the opportunity to test cars mid winter, for some, will be very valuable, in addition to assisting cope with our 'withdrawal symptoms'. Donation box at the gate?
