As I understand Kihikihi are ONLY aloud to run 10 meetings a SEASON. We would all love more but that the Council & Residents for you Murray you should know. Need to be careful assuming the 10 meeting restriction is at the request of the residents and Council. It is likely that the club, in discussion and negotiation with other adjacent users (pony club, etc), Council and neighbours determined the 10 meetings was reasonable. For example, Baypark Speedway is restricted to a maximum 20 race meetings a year with attached conditions - the number and conditions were APPLIED FOR, REQUESTED by the Speedway, NOT the Council or residents. On behalf of the community they represent, Councils monitor activities such as speedways, to ensure they are sticking the agreed deal. PERCY, you'll be at Kihikihi as the program is to include almost every class imaginable by the sound of it! ;D

I could catch a ride with Percy if he is going down, but worry if he can actually see over the dashboard. Last time I saw him driving, he was wearing his little back pack whilst driving. I hope he takes it off for those important times (shower, bed) etc. Nice to see you humour hasn't improved this off-season If they can get a decent programme together I will look at going but I ain't driving down there for Ministocks and Productions hey percy why dont you find some gear that fits and come drive my car for a night this season

I should be able to get hold of the Stockcar list early next week. Productions and Solo's will follow a little closer to the meeting. There is two Supers wishing to run, but whether they can run or not depends on how many Saloons end up signed up for the day. Also fantastic idea by Grandad to make this a Macgors Meeting. By the sounds of it there are Macgorians coming from far and wide, perfect chance for another T-Shirt photo. I will be ordering mine next week (thankyou tax rebate ;D). Big thanks to Go Slideways for giving this event a big push in Palmy. Ive seen James in his Super a couple of times, with his no fear style driving he should adjust to the Kuriger Stockcar by about race 2.

I may be able to get my mate from palmy to race his new stockcar up at this meeting. Been helping mackers put it together this last week.He has the old 245p and just stepped up from youth ministocks he sounded pretty keen when I told him about it. So that could be another Palmy car.

The crew made good progress today in getting James Berryman's 54P stockcar presentable for 2K's on the 16th. New crush rails, anodized everything else, body & chassis etc. off to paint. This car will finally look as cool as it deserves to look. Also confirmed today that ministocks of Karl McGill #93P and Cam McDonald #62P will be racing at 2K's. Not sure if Cam will also bring his new stockcar. sweet as. off-set tailer.. I hope more cars/drivers from Palmy will attend and support Kihikihi in preparation for thier biggest season ever. I'll just park this pic here til I start my very big thread on Jumbo Berryman. Hope that's ok.

Very keen to be at the Kihikihi skid.
So has 'The Percy" officially accepted this offer of driving from Gribbsy? Or is it an opportunity that will slip through his bean counter fingers?
Also, that pic posted above reminds me of a streetstock in Auckland many years ago that used to run as 88a. I guess that isnt the car, but who was the guy that ran it? He was champion from memory and I remember Fortec paint was a sponsor. I think his name was Tony something? Even back then those type of cars were rare.
Brilliant pic, and Percy,,,, what art thou going to do??

They eventually ran as the Momac racing team I think, the 88K streetstock at Kihikhi owned by Paddy Hayden was from that stable I think and could be the Newcombe car.
