Thought I'd better check out the track prep progress today on behalf of the likes of Macca and those Palmy folk travelling some distance. If Grant thinks the saloons are going to roll this track, he's got another think coming! ;D The weather forecast has a bit with rain leading up to Saturday. Updated 11 Aug.[glow=red,2,300] SUNDAY: Overcast / cloud cover; breezy. Winds from the SW at 25 km/h. 16 °C max.[/glow] Few laps with the grader and roller and the track it will be just fine, infact way better than 'just fine'!. Hopefully this will be done ASAP, If the predicted rain hits the track as it is it will never dry out in time!- Competitors, remember if your pit area is grassed, bring your tarp (6 x 3m)
to park, clean and prep your race car on.
- A new Kihikihi policy, a max 5 minute time frame per race.
So if you're one of those who over drives, causes repeated yellows, haven't the brains or integrity to regrid after a yellow correctly, all competitors will pay the price. Clearly thinking of the spectators and competitors.
- Drivers are asked to reconfirm their attendance
no later than the Wednesday prior to the race meeting with the class rep.

Thanks for the pics Grandad, I'm sure the track crew will have the surface sweet as by race time. I spent today with Mr Ward tidying up the 97P Stockcar for it's 2K debut. All is good & the new Larson Ford is sounding mean. Just a few odds & ends to complete and we're all set to fly the Palmy flag high. Next week I'm helping re-assemble the reborn 54P stockcar for the 2K bash. James has got the body back from the painters and it looks a million dollars. Pics to come next week, hopefully Cameron can bring his new stockcar too!! Here's the cars I worked on today at Mr Wards, all the Palmy crew are really looking ford to next weekend. Cheers, .................. Go Slideways

Photos on Saturday about 11am, before heading off to the Hamilton Zoo with the grandkids. Was wondering about the row of posts and blue water pipe sticking up? Great day, awesome zoo. Kihikihi committee takes time out! Only Rossco was prepared to face ther camera!

Hopefully this will be done ASAP,A Roller has been arranged and will be put to work tommorrow. A reminder to everyone that start time will be earlier than normal with a 12pm kickoff. There are a heck of a lot of people travelling big distances, so the plan is an efficient 3.5 hr meeting so those travelling back home can get a little bit of sleep before work on Monday!! Ill do a final ring round the reps tommorrow so keep an eye out on the Kihikihi Website for an update.
