Shame that Trevor Elliott and the Boltons are not there. Trevor won a heat in Cromwell and Gisborne and always gave it his best.
Oh well, 1NZ, 58c and 21H for me

Not to mention Donald Gregory out due to injury. Dean Wardell as mentioned having a well deserved year off and what about Shane Carey another to regularly finish in the top ten. Hopefully these plus a few more will be back next year.

According to the spectators, and comments on here from those that attended Bayparks much malaigned NZ Salon car title, people agree that though they found the format slightly unfamiliar, that format ended up providing a fantastic spectecle.
most commentators and spectators on here at least it would seem, agreeing deserved winners and placegetters were found.
It will be very interesting to hear what the spectators think about the success of the older (more popular maybe, certainly more understood) 3 heat format.
Will we get a more deserved winner, will we even know the winner, or will the protest room get a workout?
Heres hoping another top saloon car event, without the carnage ensues.
and what about the rumours of Martin Halcrow returning for this title - has been in a runoff for this title here before, and with the added experiance of the sprintcars and car building experiance will have to be a threat!
Get well Ian Burson - has been quick, and be great to see a stockcar driver get one back in the non contact classes!
