A bit early(ish) to get drivers named, but can we start with those teams that are confirmed. NOTE: CONFIRMED, not speculated. Starting to get pretty excited for this as usual. Hopefully teams this week and drivers next week.

Not a bad thing sometimes.

Quite a shock really as the class is building nicely in wellington. Hopefully it's not politics within the ranks

Teams racing is a whole different beast to local racing. It takes a special bread of un-hingedness! We are lucky there are some that are willing to do this.

Will Bruce consider Gisborne Development team?

Will Bruce consider Gisborne Development team? I wouldn't think so, as it's not like one more team will give the perfect number for the perfect elimination format. He needs 16 teams for that. Even 12 works better than 13 or 14. But you never know. They're obviously keen to go teams racing. Barry B

Brendon Tye has confirmed that due to wellington team members pulling out he will be changing clubs to continue on his journey as a teams racer! Will be interesting for sure to see what track he goes to as he was very rapid in the brand new car at NZ Superstock Champs! Back to palmy possibly? Hopefully we might see a new letter tonight at 240s

As it stands, if all the suggested teams and both Palmi teams do register there are 13 teams, i would actually hope for one dropping out and going to the magic 12 number, the old ABCD groups of 3, with the highest points scorer of each group going through gave the best action on night one, now it is simple racing for points as even if you win both races you need the cars to cross the line as just 200 points doesnt get you through! Its happened to so many teams so the blockers cant just go out to destroy they still have to actually finish on night one so they dont do as much action anymore.

It happens every year, a track putting together a team but they dont have enough so they borrow from other tracks..... I personally dont see the harm as then we get the teams rather than no tracks such as wellington who has had to pull out, i mean you cant borrow an entire team but one or two driver, no harm etc

Like palmi has the Manawatu Mustangs. I don't think you can call your next set of drivers development drivers, they are just the next 6 that are willing to step up and put thier cars and bodies on the line! I'm still hoping for 12 as that gives some action but if not the more teams the merrier for more races for the fans! And bring in Monday post worlds, we should start to see the teams named based on whose got cars still running and not injured....
