With there being close ties between the Leviens & Randy T & no Wildcats, is there a possibility that the Allstars could look something like a combination out of 5w, 46w, 66a, 72a, 95a, 96a? Just putting it out there, but the Allstars aren't named yet for Palmerston North and what a great team that would be. Nope was talking with 46w and he said he won't be teams racing at palmy but 5w could well line up somewhere

No 2nzs in scrappers. . or 56v in warriors. . Yes its a real shame 2nz isn't going to be at Palmy he's had some great Palmy teams champs performances and it would of been awesome for the Scrappers and him to have the 2NZ on display.

However as unlikely as it is, I'd love to see the Leviens race for the Allstars (my "second" team).

Just waiting on Gisborne, Auckland and Canterbury who had said they would be attending this year.... anyone know if there is a cut of day to register? or will they take a late registration anyway..... I know it costly but it would have been great to see otago back but i know it took a lot to get them there last year.

There was an Otago team at the NZ Stockcar Champs at Huntly last year, but it's been a number of years since they had a Superstock team at Palmy I think? Barry B

Funnily enough speaking of Otago and superstocks at this weekend's meeting at Beachlands Speedway there's the Otago superstock champs being held.

Barry B Mixing up my classes again lol its so hard to keep track!!! I dont know the classes at otago, whether they have a big field of supers at present or like nelson are struggling but would be great to see them all but a great cost to them all. Would be interesting to see how many north island tracks would make it to the south island if the champs happened to end up being held in the south island.... only possible for the NZ Stockcar Teams title to move there is a south island team wins it....

There was an Anderson machine down here but almost certain it’s been converted to a stock car. Hoping we get a few chch cars here.

Barry B Yes we were kind of hoping for a chch win, we have family in akld so while it is quite a cheap speedway weekend for us, a chch win would force a vacation to the south island which face it will not happen unless a TEAMS champs is held there. We wont even go for a NZ champs, those we only travel to in the NI. its a interesting time with speculation waiting for these results lol

Superstocks are nolonger a registered class at Dunedin. Blenheim, Greymouth and Invercargill have dropped them too, which means assuming the Wildcats and Tigers come back eventually every active Superstock track is represented at Teams Champs.
(When the five meeting rule came in, most tracks with only a couple of cars registered in a class chose to drop them entirely)

Great line up for the glen eagles. 4/5 driversfrom last year, and also 4/5 cars from last year, with the 14c being the 991c from last year.
Very hard to back up year after year. The year after they won In 2019 they didn’t even qualify for finals. Even the rebels last year as defending champs didn’t qualify. Takes a heap of luck and reliability.
Makes the panthers run a few years back even more impressive.

With Seth McConchie saying on FB he's desperate to find a team, any suggestions to form a 14th Select team? Maybe start with 5W, 56V, maybe 13W, 272M? Any advances from there? Mind you, after listening to the Trackside With Kockpit last night, seems doubtful Bruce will entertain a 14th team.

wow, just figured out I did a one night version in 1990, and then attended again in 94. Since then I have not missed one.
Therefore this will be my 30th. Absolutely great times with great mates.
just re-watched the teams greatest hits and can remember so much. some can say old school is good and some say now days is good.
All I can say is Palmy teams is massive. The difference between 94 and now is speed. The best part is Palmy not winning every year now.
Bring on the 2024 version. Can't wait.
