You beat me to it obby. It's not really worth whinging about Kevin Roberts when he has raced for the Eagles before.
What would be a joke is as possibly suggested having an all stars team with 3-4 palmy fill ins.
May as well flick the all stars for a year and either put the Giants in a name a palmy C team.

Not wanting to hijack the thread as such. I don't get down Palmy way other than teams. Does Kev Roberts bring out the super tanker other than teams?
Love the unique look.

Spoke to Carl Hodge in the pits at WP a couple of weeks ago. Carl said he was taking the season off and only doing Battle of the Stocks in Chch later this season. Huge loss for the Allstars on the back of losing Scott Tennant and Gavin Taniwha. As previously mentioned the Allstars do face the Poms at WP on Sunday 31st Jan so will be interesting to see their line up.

Think the Busters may possibly be Kerry Remnant, Regan O'Brien, Lance Aldridge and possibly 2 out of Dave Elsworth, Mark Decke, Adam Groome or Ryan Hunt but thats just a guess. To tell you the honest truth I'm really surprised Adam Groome has been left out of the Hawkeyes he's definitely been one of their lynchpins over the past few years.

So how much longer will teams get to confirm if they are in or out? What happens if we get to a week out with 11 Teams & The Giants say no uve left it too late & we have 11 teams. That does not work well at all.

Just a curious question which may have been answered already but is there any sound evidence that the gisborne team is not being allowed to attend like everyone seems to be saying ??

If giants were in they would be named nd advertised by now like the other 9 sides who have been on this forum. IMHO - Akl will have help to get a side together to face the UK lads. Meanwhile wanganui is trying everything they can, as a seeded team form last year, to get a side together and the promoters are obviously giving them that opportunity, although it is not looking very likely at this stage. Giants are waiting in the wings for their opportunity and credit to them for doing that so patiently AKL - 2-3 akl cars and how many "ring ins" to face the uk lads???

Hard to fathom the amount of time and effort that goes into organising a team. It must be a hugely enormous task and it seems that Wanganui are doing their utmost to achieve this. Appreciated that's for sure by the little old paying spectator like me.....

"Enormous" describes it well, and as the Mainland cheese advertisement says "good things take time".
