What we got to remember that there is a 500 people limit, if you have 60 superstocks with 3 crew each and the driver there is 240 people there so that leaves 260 for other classes and all the officals, camera men etc. I cant see speedway going ahead
You are correct! Your maths is better than mine! Yes once you start adding it up the 500 limit looms pretty quick!
Looking for a silver lining in all this, if the decision is to cancel the remaining meetings at Waikaraka Park, they should get in and pull down the Grandstand asap to give better chance the place isn't a demolition site and off-limits come October.
Midway, you might know, how long would it take to demolish and remove the old grandstand???

Does all the attachments go with it it would take a month chipping away at frances, coke a cola fridges full of ice for a start ,then another six months dismantling the sewer pipes after your committee meetings ,plus i think Drever and king left some hidden treasure under there for there emergency fund . plus Didnt Abrahams have some Dirty Washing hanging up under there at some stage
i think it would be wise to start at the small grandstand in the pits they have buckets of concrete under the legs ,we just might need those buckets just in case ..hope you could give us a hand ,even in a advisory mode as i think you may still have more historic knowledge than most
i know a or some clubs are discussing the possibility of disposable protective wear,i.e.overcoat,gloves,face mask,& googles, going forward with a increase in gate entry to recover cost, upon approval of course, snz, health ministry etc, any one else in the know about this
stockcars, the smash & bash gladiators of nz speedway,i hope speedway makes me deaf so i don,t have worries about noise restrictions.(beg your pardon).

Not speedway related but I watched that President Trump press conference with his response team early this morning. It went for over an hour, and although he could be accused of being a bit slow of the mark, he is well and truly on board now and doing a great job.
Interestingly Florida has closed all bars and restaurants for 30 days.
I'm assuming the call from our gov't for "All Kiwis overseas to come home while you still can" means that they will be taking drastic action probably on the weekend to stop all international flight arrivals, except from the PIs. I presume they will lower the guideline # of ppl in a group from 500 to something like what Trump has done. Places like NY state, and California are in real trouble right now. While down in West Virginia they are wondering what the fuss is with no cases so far.
Like him or not, watch a Trump press conference and you will see why he is only half way his presidency. His way of dealing with the media, who as a whole ain't been particularly fair to him is second to none. Even CNN were praising him today.
