I know it is none of my business, but I don't like seeing drivers in the stockcar teams 2 weeks after racing in the Superstock teams. Six over the three teams named. The potential for a serious injury is increased exponentially and (please don't hate me fellow Wellingtonians) but I would rather see the Young Guns lose every race, than see them win the championship at the cost of a serious injury to Brendon, Ethan or Keegan. how does losing every race stop the chance of serious injury? If you lose every race you'll be eliminated earlier and thus be required to do less races than the championship winner thus have less chances of getting injured......at least I think that's the author's theory Barry B

It is more like; We want our local team to win but if it was a choice of winning with a team member getting a serious injury or losing every race with no injuries, we would hope for the latter every time.

That's backwards, it's a contact sport and going out in a teams race to deliberately loose doesn't mean you are going to have less chance of getting injured than the other team.

Therefore they'll be no Manawatu Steelers, for example. Only the Palmy Pumas. Barry B They might have decided they wanna win this year, so there might be a Steelers, not a Pumas. ππ And yes it makes me sad we ain't going to get Go Slidways retort and banter. Ummmm Im going to assume you were bantering and know it doesnt matter what we call the team it would be filled with the top 6 selected drivers lol, pumas beat rotorua in thier pre racing events this season so you never know....

Yes the Pumas absolutely demolished the Rascals at the World 240's Finals night

Yep I'll be interested in the Rascal's team. They got hammered in that race by the Puma's and while there was another team's race that was cancelled due to the rain delay at the 240's, there were some brittle Rotorua cars in that first race. I'd like to think the Pumas did the R's a favour.

would like to see confirmed teams ( not drivers ) contesting this meet. Huntly web site is crap. On here only has 8 teams named. Should this be a 1 night meet?
This is a SNZ title and needs to be treated as so.

Also interesting to see if they change the team much from that night....

Cant do Friday anyway but trying to decide Sat in person, sat streaming, or Nth Island sprints at BP.

Wow no 32s, 33s, or 1nzs. . May be some changes, will know after this weekends taranaki champs . Interestingly 33s took out 99s in a big way last night. Drove him up the wall and rolled! Then again he did the same to Phil Gargan 27s in the superstock!

We are watching the weather forecast, cyclone pasts but then forecasts rain for the weekend again. A lot of money to sit in the accommodation. May save it and come up for the nationals, only one away trip this year for speedway due to finances with expenditure elsewhere needed π‘ Yep missing that 12 group format, it showed for much better racing as they didn't need to get 4 cars across the line for points. I still remember akld winning both races and still not getting through to ngt 2 as not enough points. BUT what is better, letting every track be able to enter or limiting it to the first 12 to commit....

I hate to say it but I can see this meeting being called off sooner rather then later. My hunch is based around the huntly club (probably) not wanting to muck around the southern teams who have to cross the ferry and drive for 2 days to deal with. That being said I am prepared for a Tuesday postponement.

My hunch is based around the huntly club (probably) not wanting to muck around the southern teams who have to cross the ferry and drive for 2 days to deal with. That being said I am prepared for a Tuesday postponement. The four major weather sites are all contradicting one anothers' outlooks. Therefore, a Tuesday call would be far too early to make such a major call
